Transformers is a live action plus CGI film based on the popular Transformers franchise and toy line from Hasbro. Immortalized by the famous robots that ‘transform’ into other figures definitely encapsulate the franchise’s theme: “more than meets the eye” and “robots in disguise”.

The film has a projected release date of July 4, 2007 and is currently filming. The feature film is being directed by Michael Bay with Steven Spielberg acting as the executive producer. The official announcement of the project was made at Comic-Con International in July 2005. The movie will be a combination of live action combined with CGI. Filming officially commenced on May 29, 2006. This will be the Transformers' first big screen adaptation since Transformers: The Movie in 1986 which was done in animation.
