Monica's Gang is Brazil's most famous comic strip. Created by Brazilian cartoonist Mauricio de Sousa, Monica's Gang introduces the spirited and feisty Brazilian girl Monica, who takes the spotlight and is considered the leader of a bunch of six and seven-year-old kids. The other members of her gang are the equally energetic Jimmy Five, Smudge and Maggy, each having distinct personalities. Together they face the highs and lows of being kids, not to mention rivalry between boys and girls.

Monica's Gang's universal appeal and loveable characters have allowed the comic strip to reach various countries around the globe. To date, Monica's Gang comic strip is being translated and published into 15 languages in 41 countries. Considered as the "Walt Disney" of South America, the said comic strip has recently debuted as the first Brazilian animated series to join Cartoon Network in Latin America.
