Raiden and his warriors have failed in stopping Quan Chi and Shang Tsung from forming the deadly alliance and there amongst the bodies of the fallen, the thunder god Raiden wages his last attempt but as powerful as he was, the two treacherous tyrants proved to be too much & he too succumbed to their combined might. Even before the smoke cleared, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung turned on each other for the possession of the magical artifact that could resurrect the Dragon King's undead army. Once more, Quan Chi stood there victorious, easily proving he was more ruthless & cunning.

A rumbling sound in the distance & massive footsteps echo thru the former Outworld ruler's castle. A figure steps out of the shadows and Quan Chi can only look on as the immense form of the Dragon King strides forward. Not wanting to waste his efforts after securing his current power, Quan Chi strikes, unrelentless but to no avail as the Dragon King ignores his attacks. Shang Tsung stirs and it only takes a moment for him to realize the danger and combines his might with Quan Chi only to garner similar results. A crackle of lightning and Raiden rises once again and all 3 hurl bolt of unbridled power yet the Dragon King shows no signs of slowing down. Losing hope, Raiden makes the ultimate sacrifice and releases his essence into the night. Pure, white energy explodes and in a flash, the castle is in ruins and when the dust settles, the Dragon King stands unharmed clutching Quan Chi's necklace as his armies wait for their new master's commands. Elsewhere, warriors from different origins have already begun to prepare for what may be, the final battle that would change all the realms and their lives as they know it.
