Archie follows the adventures and mishaps of five fictional teenagers: Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Reggie Mantle and Forsythe "Jughead" Jones, who attend the same high school at Riverdale High. Archie is the typical teenage boy with much interest in dating. Rivals in Archie's attention are the sweet girl-next-door Betty and the rich and famous Veronica. Jughead, on the other hand, is Archie's witty and food obsessed best friend while Reggie remains to be the conceited practical joker in the group.

Drawn by Bob Montana and written by Vic Bloom, Archie first appeared in December 1941 in Pep Comics 22. Shortly after its release, Archie became a huge success that it proliferated the mainstream of comic books until sixty years later. Archie to this day continues to gain new sets of readers and followers, although tackling the same yet evolving issues about courtship, friendship, vanity and getting through high school.
